Athletes Doing Good

                        Cam Giving Back

This year one of the best players in the NFL is Cam Newton.  Despite many injuries to his offense Cam has led his team to a very impressive 10-0 start and has put himself directly into the MVP conversation with Tom Brady.

Cam Newton is also making a great impact off the field.  This year on Monday, a few days before Thanksgiving he hosted his annual Thanksgiving dinner for 900 under privileged kids through the Cam Newton Foundation.  Cam newton even had a mini-dance competition at the dinner to make the event fun.

With all the recent NFL controversies its great to see one of the leagues greatest players making a great impact and being a positive role model that youth can look up to for many reasons.  Personally Cam Newton inspires me to think about others and to give back to my community.

LBJ Helping Out Kids

Undeniably one of the most powerful athletes today is Lebron James. He is the undisputed best basketball player in the world right now.  He is extremely valuable and indispensable to his team,  However he is also making a great difference outside the basketball court and giving back to his hometown Akron, Ohio. Lebron recently announced a program through which he will give 1100 students scholarships for college.  They will be given to people who need them and who have earned them.  Kids who otherwise would not be able to receive a higher level of education will now be able to with the help of Lebron James.
